What is Nocuous Rift?
The Nocuous Rift was originally inspired by the Oculus Rift. However, it’s modeled after the growing number of Do-It-Yourself knock-offs such as Google Cardboard, and other homemade virtual reality goggles. We seem to be somewhat obsessed with altering, or completely escaping the world around us. The Oculus Rift immerses us in a virtual world. The Nocuous Rift just creates a 3-D retina display version of our own. So we are calling them “Reality” goggles.
The body of the Nocuous Rift is aluminum, cast from a cardboard and duck tape model. This means that every one made has a different composition of duck tape, hot glue and cardboard details.
